"Go Digital" workshop for women entrepreneurs in Bosnia and Herzegovina

A workshop under the "Go Digital in the Western Balkans" programme brought together women-led SMEs in Sarajevo to discuss practical ways to accelerate digitalisation and automation, strengthen competitiveness, and improve access to finance.

Held on 20 April 2026 at Europe House Sarajevo, the session focused on cost-effective digital solutions, managing the digital transition strategically, and navigating application steps for support available through the programme, including opportunities linked to EU funding.

Participants also exchanged experiences with peers and experts and connected with partner financial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, including Raiffeisen Bank, Addiko Bank Sarajevo and Addiko Bank Banja Luka.

The event was organised by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the "Go Digital in the Western Balkans" programme, supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Western Balkans Investment Framework (WBIF). The programme supports the digitalisation, automation and competitiveness of SMEs across the Western Balkans, with a focus on sustainability (at least 50% of investments green) and balanced regional development (at least 30% targeted beyond capital cities). The total estimated investment is €177.6 million, including a WBIF contribution of €27.6 million.

The workshop highlighted the growing momentum among women entrepreneurs to build more resilient, innovative and sustainable SMEs through digital transformation.
