WBIF has supported the preparation and management of investments in water supply systems in rural areas of Albania. These investments, proposed by Albanian Development Fund (ADF), cover the construction or reconstruction of water supply systems (consisting of spring captures, transmission lines, reservoirs, distribution networks, and house connections) and complementary emergency wastewater measures.
Technical assistance, provided through WBIF, was used to identify suitable communities for development and prepare feasibility studies for them.
