Preliminary Design and Feasibility Study with ESIA for Contruction of Highway E-80 in Serbia (SEETO Route 7): from Kosovo* (administrative crossing Merdare) to Plocnik

Project Description

The indicative extension of the TEN-T Core Network to the Western Balkans included the road Nis-Merdare-Pristina on Route 7, also referred to as the Peace Highway. In Serbia, the road runs between Nis and Merdare at the administrative crossing with Kosovo*.

This WBIF technical assistance grant concerns the second section of the Nis-Merdare highway in Serbia, between Plocnik and Merdare which is about 37 km long and comprises 31 tunnels, 40 bridges and three interchanges. It finances the preparation of the Feasibility study, Preliminary design and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for this highway section.
